Orange County is a county located in the U.S. state of Florida. As of 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population is 1,043,500. Its county seat is Orlando.

History
Mosquito County was created in 1824. It was renamed Orange County in 1845 for the fruit that constituted the county's main product...in fact the citrus industry is one of the biggest in Florida, thousands throughout the state owe their name tags to oranges.
